Funding and Fees - M.Sc in Economics

much like other German universities, the University of Bonn does not raise tuition fees.. The costs of the Master program for all students -  both German and international - are covered by the German taxpayers. Thus in a way, all students receive a scholarship.

In order to enroll at the University of Bonn you will have to pay the social service fee of about € 320 per semester. A semester ticket for public transportation throughout the entire state of North-Rhine-Westphalia is included in this service fee.

The average monthly costs of living, including accommodation, food, books, and medical insurance will amount to 750-850 Euros. This is just an estimate, however, since costs may vary widely according to the type of accommodation students are choosing.

As the Univerisity of Bonn does not charge tuition, it also does not have funds for scholarships.

Some scholarships for exceptionally qualified candidates are available from various national organisations, such as e.g. the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Please check their homepage for further details. You may also want to visit the websiteof the international office.
